There have been hundreds of Final Fantasy characters and narrowing a list of most memorable down to five means leaving a lot of people in the cold that deserve to be on it. In case you missed it this week, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster released for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3, which got us to thinking about our favorite, most memorable characters from the franchise’s history.
We realize a ton of fans out there all have their favorites, but this is our list of the five most memorable characters. We’d love to see who you’d change out or add.
Cid is a man of many looks, many faces, and many games. In fact, he appears in more Final Fantasy games than any other character in the history of the franchise. Cid is often an engineer or inventor and is most likely to be one of the more helpful characters to your party. In Final Fantasy X, Cid is the Al Bhed leader, Rikku’s father and Yuna’s Uncle. He provides the group with transportation later in the game and is definitely a healthy resource.
You’d think a character this prominent would be featured on more lists involving Final Fantasy, but it seems to get the short end of the stick a lot of the time. He’s definitely one of our most memorable characters though as he’s kind of hard to forget since he’s everywhere.
