Take this new rumor with a very heavy grain of salt, but the non-corporate Twitter account for the local Basildon GAME store in the United Kingdom is reporting that all PlayStation 3 digital content should be available to play on the PlayStation 4.
As readers can see from the tweet, GAME Basildon is stating this information was shared with them during a meeting discussing the PlayStation brand. When asked by followers on Twitter for confirmation, GAME Basildon replied that this information is according to “what we’ve been told” and tagged Sony Worldwide Studios Boss Shuhei Yoshida in the Tweet. GAME Basildon also confirmed they were told that this information referred to actual digital game purchases, although they assume that other media (like movies) would be included as well.
Yoshida-san (or anyone from Sony) has not confirmed or denied this rumor at this time. If proven true, this news would be a major boost for the PS4 following the delays of Watch Dogs and Driveclub.
